Here's the gist with esomeprazole strontium, which is a proton pump inhibitor that lowers the amount of acid your stomach makes. The concern is the opposite direction from a typical drug-buildup interaction: some old reports suggest Hercules Club may actually nudge stomach acid production up. If that happens, it could partly work against what your PPI is trying to do.

In real life, that might mean your heartburn, reflux, or burning sensation isn't as well controlled as usual. I'll be honest though, this is theoretical and based only on anecdotal evidence, so it's a minor concern rather than something to panic about. Everyday culinary nibbling of the bark is unlikely to matter much. Before adding a concentrated supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
