ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Horse Chestnut interacts with.
Horse chestnut contains the constituent esculin which has been shown to have antithrombotic effects. Therefore, horse chestnut might have antiplatelet effects. This has not been shown in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing with Advil Dual Action: the ibuprofen part can already nudge up your bleeding risk on its own, since NSAIDs make platelets a bit less sticky and can irritate the stomach lining. Horse chestnut contains a compound called esculin that might have a mild blood-thinning effect too. Stack them together and, in theory, you could bruise more easily or be slower to stop bleeding from a cut, and you may have a slightly higher chance of stomach upset or bleeding.
I'll be honest with you, though: this concern comes from lab work, not from real people, so it's a theoretical caution rather than a proven problem. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you take them often.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen page
“Advil Dual Action pairs ibuprofen, an NSAID with built-in stomach-bleeding risk, and acetaminophen, which the liver processes, so this interaction list deserves a careful read, not a skim. Most of the entries can add to bleeding risk, while smaller clusters put extra strain on the liver or kidneys.”
