ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Piracetam interacts with.
Preliminary clinical research shows that a single dose of piracetam inhibits platelet aggregation.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to keep in mind with Advil Dual Action, which combines ibuprofen (an NSAID) and acetaminophen. The ibuprofen part already has a mild blood-thinning effect because it dampens platelets, the little cells that help your blood clot. Early research suggests piracetam can also make platelets less sticky on its own.
Stack those two together and you may nudge up your bleeding risk a bit. Watch for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or stomach upset and dark stools, since ibuprofen can already irritate the stomach. This is more of a theoretical, add-up concern than a proven danger, but I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you take it often or use other blood thinners.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen page
“Advil Dual Action pairs ibuprofen, an NSAID with built-in stomach-bleeding risk, and acetaminophen, which the liver processes, so this interaction list deserves a careful read, not a skim. Most of the entries can add to bleeding risk, while smaller clusters put extra strain on the liver or kidneys.”

About Piracetam
What is Piracetam?
- Memory and cognition ('nootropic')
- Cognitive decline and dementia
- Myoclonus
- Dyslexia in children
- Vertigo
Piracetam is a synthetic 'nootropic' drug studied mainly for cognitive decline, myoclonus, and certain neurological conditions, but evidence for boosting memory in healthy people is weak. It is a prescription medicine in many countries and is not an approved drug or dietary supplement in the United States, so quality and safety of products sold online vary. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before using it.
