Each serving of HumanN SuperBeets includes 150mg of grape seed extract (2 chews). Laboratory studies suggest that grape seed extract might have inhibitory effects on the CYP3A4 metabolizing enzyme. If this enzyme is inhibited, drugs metabolized by it may undergo slower metabolism, potentially leading to (in many cases) higher-than-normal drug levels. Elevated drug levels can increase the risk of experiencing side effects. Here's the simple version for your Korlym (mifepristone): your body clears this medicine using a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The grape seed extract in SuperBeets Heart Chews might slow that enzyme down a little, based on lab dish studies. In theory, slower clearance could let mifepristone build up a bit, which might mean more of its usual side effects like nausea, fatigue, low potassium, dizziness, or swelling.

I want to be honest, though: this is rated minor and unlikely, and it has never actually been reported in real people. The grape seed dose in two chews is small. Still, mifepristone is a sensitive drug, so just run it by your doctor or pharmacist before adding these chews.

What Is Mifepristone (Korlym) Used For?

Brand names: Mifeprex, Korlym

Korlym is prescribed for adults with endogenous Cushing's syndrome — a condition where the body produces too much cortisol — who also have type 2 diabetes or trouble controlling blood sugar. It works to bring those blood sugar levels under control.

It is only for blood sugar problems that are directly caused by Cushing's syndrome. It should not be used to treat ordinary type 2 diabetes unrelated to this condition.
