Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Why this applies to Colchicine
Colchicine falls under Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates — the group Humann Superbeets Heart Chews interacts with.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear colchicine out of your system. The grape seed extract in these chews (about 150mg per serving) has shown some ability to slow that enzyme down in lab studies. If it slows the cleanup, colchicine could linger a bit longer and build up, which in theory could bump up the risk of its usual side effects like nausea, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.
The good news is this is rated as a minor and unlikely interaction, and it has never actually been reported happening in real people, only suggested by test-tube data. Colchicine does have a fairly narrow safety window, though, so I'd still mention these chews to your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, just to be safe.

“Colchicine, the gout and pericarditis medicine sold as Colcrys and Mitigare, has one of the smallest gaps between a helpful dose and a harmful one of any drug I dispense, so its 146 supplement interactions deserve genuine respect. Most of them work the same way, blocking or speeding up the enzyme and transporter (CYP3A4 and P-glycoprot…”
