Eribulin Mesylate falls under QT INTERVAL-PROLONGING DRUGS — the group Iboga interacts with.

Theoretically, iboga may have an additive effect with drugs that prolong the QT interval.

Here's the concern with combining Iboga and eribulin (Halaven). Eribulin can already stretch out the heart's electrical recovery time, something we call QT prolongation. Iboga, through its active compound ibogaine, has been linked in several real-world case reports to the very same effect. Stack them together and the worry is that the heart-rhythm risk adds up, which in rare cases can lead to a dangerous, irregular heartbeat.

I'll be honest: this combination is built on theory and scattered case reports, not strong studies, so the evidence here is on the weaker side. That said, ibogaine carries serious heart and safety risks on its own and is illegal in the U.S. I'd strongly encourage you not to use it, and to talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding anything new during cancer treatment.

What Is Eribulin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Halaven

Eribulin mesylate injection (brand name Halaven) is used to treat metastatic breast cancer in patients who have already received at least two prior chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease, including an anthracycline and a taxane. It is also approved for unresectable or metastatic liposarcoma in patients who have received a prior anthracycline-containing regimen.

Both uses are for advanced cancers that have already been treated with other therapies. This is not a first-line treatment — it is used when the cancer has progressed despite earlier chemotherapy.
