Theoretically, Indian long pepper might increase blood levels of propranolol.
A small pharmacokinetic study shows that piperine, a constituent of Indian long pepper, accelerates absorption and increases serum concentrations of propranolol.

Your medication Inderide is a combo pill: it pairs propranolol (a beta-blocker) with hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill). The piece that matters here is the propranolol. A small human study found that piperine, the active compound in Indian long pepper, helped the body absorb propranolol faster and pushed its blood levels a bit higher. Propranolol isn't a prodrug, so more of it in your blood means a stronger beta-blocking effect.

What might that feel like? Possibly a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, lightheadedness, or more tiredness than usual. This is considered possible, not certain, and an occasional sprinkle in cooking is unlikely to be a problem. Regular pippali supplements are a different story, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
