Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Indigo Pulchra interacts with.

Theoretically, indigo pulchra might lower blood glucose levels and might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the tricky part with this pairing. Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is actually an emergency rescue medicine that does the opposite of most diabetes drugs. You use it to raise a dangerously low blood sugar by telling your liver to dump stored sugar into your blood. So while our file lists a theoretical concern that Indigo Pulchra might lower blood sugar and add to diabetes medicines, dasiglucagon isn't trying to lower sugar at all.

The realistic worry is that if Indigo Pulchra nudges your sugar down, you might end up needing your rescue pen more often, or a low could feel harder to correct. Honestly, though, this is only lab-level guesswork, and we can't even confirm what Indigo Pulchra contains. Please check with your pharmacist before using it.

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — a dangerously low blood sugar episode — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. Severe hypoglycemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.

Zegalogue is not a day-to-day diabetes medicine. It is prescribed as an emergency kit to be on hand in case a person with diabetes becomes unresponsive or cannot safely swallow food or juice to raise their blood sugar.
