Alogliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Indigo Pulchra interacts with.

Theoretically, indigo pulchra might lower blood glucose levels and might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the simple version: alogliptin (Nesina) already works to bring your blood sugar down. The concern on file is that Indigo Pulchra might also lower blood sugar on its own. Stack the two together and you could get an additive effect, which means your sugar could dip lower than you want. Signs of that would be shakiness, sweating, a racing heartbeat, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

I'll be honest with you, this is only a theoretical worry based on lab-type data, not real human studies, and we can't even confirm what Indigo Pulchra actually is. Alogliptin alone rarely causes low sugar. Still, if you use this product, check your blood sugar more often and loop in your pharmacist or doctor first.
