Insulin determir falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Indigo Pulchra interacts with.

Theoretically, indigo pulchra might lower blood glucose levels and might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the short version: Levemir (insulin detemir) already lowers your blood sugar, and the concern is that Indigo Pulchra might nudge your blood sugar down a little too. Stack those together and you could end up lower than you planned, which can mean shaky hands, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, or confusion. In a worst case, blood sugar can drop dangerously low.

I want to be honest with you, though: this is a theoretical concern based only on lab-type evidence, and I genuinely can't confirm what Indigo Pulchra even is. So I can't promise it does anything at all. If you decide to use it, check your blood sugar more often and loop in your pharmacist or doctor first before changing anything.

Brand name: Levemir

Levemir (insulin detemir) is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults and children with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is a basal insulin, meaning it works around the clock to keep background blood sugar levels steady.

Levemir is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous buildup of acids in the blood that requires a different type of insulin).
