Canagliflozin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Indigo Pulchra interacts with.

Theoretically, indigo pulchra might lower blood glucose levels and might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs. This might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in some patients. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Some antidiabetes drugs include glimepiride (Amaryl), glyburide (DiaBeta, Glynase PresTab, Micronase), insulin, metformin (Glucophage), pioglitazone (Actos), rosiglitazone (Avandia), and others.

Here's the honest situation: we can't actually verify what Indigo Pulchra is, so a lot of this is theory rather than something proven in people. The concern on file is that it might lower blood sugar on its own. If that's true, stacking it on top of canagliflozin (Invokana) could push your blood sugar down further than you want.

By itself, canagliflozin rarely causes serious lows, but combining two glucose-lowering effects could tip you into hypoglycemia, with shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion. This warning comes only from lab or animal data, so it's a 'be aware' note, not a red alert. If you want to try this product, check your blood sugar more often and talk with your pharmacist or doctor first. Please don't change your Invokana on your own.

About Canagliflozin

What Is Canagliflozin Used For?

Brand name: Invokana

Invokana (canagliflozin) is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children aged 10 and older with type 2 diabetes. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

In adults with type 2 diabetes, Invokana is also used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiovascular death in those with established cardiovascular disease, and to reduce the risk of serious kidney complications — including end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure — in those with diabetic kidney disease and high levels of protein in the urine.
