Pemoline falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Isopropylnorsynephrine interacts with.

Theoretically, taking isopropylnorsynephrine with stimulant drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects.
Isopropylnorsynephrine is an investigational beta-agonist and a derivative of synephrine and octopamine, which are stimulant constituents of bitter orange. In vitro research shows that isopropylnorsynephrine is a highly selective, direct-acting beta-adrenergic receptor agonist with positive chronotropic effects. Theoretically, isopropylnorsynephrine may also have stimulant effects.

Here's the simple version: Pemoline is a stimulant that was used for ADHD, and one of its known effects is gently nudging your heart and nervous system into higher gear. Isopropylnorsynephrine is also a stimulant, the kind that can bump up heart rate and blood pressure. When you put two stimulants together, their effects can stack on top of each other.

So the worry here is more of what Pemoline already does, things like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and higher blood pressure. I'll be honest with you though, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, not solid human studies, and isopropylnorsynephrine itself is barely researched. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
