Propranolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Isopropylnorsynephrine interacts with.

Theoretically, isopropylnorsynephrine might decrease the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
In vitro research shows that isopropylnorsynephrine is a highly selective, direct-acting beta-adrenergic receptor agonist with positive chronotropic effects, and hypertension has been reported in patients taking combination products containing isopropylnorsynephrine and other stimulants.

Here's the tug-of-war to know about. Propranolol works by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors, which calms your heart rate and lowers blood pressure. Isopropylnorsynephrine does the opposite. It's a stimulant that activates those same beta receptors, which can raise heart rate and blood pressure. So in theory, this supplement could push against what your propranolol is trying to do and blunt some of its benefit.

That said, the evidence here is thin, mostly lab and animal data, so we can't say for sure how big a deal it is in real people. Still, since you're taking propranolol for your heart or blood pressure, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any product containing it.

What Is Propranolol (Cardiovascular) Used For?

Brand names: Inderal LA, Inderal, Angilol, Syprol, Inderal Injection, Half-Inderal LA, Bedranol SR, Half Beta Prograne, Beta Prograne, Lopranol LA, Slo-Pro, InnoPran XL

This intravenous (IV) form of propranolol is used in hospital or clinical settings to treat dangerous heart rhythm problems. It is generally reserved for life-threatening arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms) or those that occur during anesthesia.

Specific conditions it treats include fast heart rates coming from the upper chambers of the heart (supraventricular tachycardia), certain arrhythmias caused by digitalis toxicity, dangerous ventricular rhythms that haven't responded to other treatments, and fast heart rates caused by excess adrenaline-like substances during surgery.
