ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Fosinopril, Hydrochlorothiazide
Fosinopril, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Java Tea interacts with.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: Monopril HCT already does two things to lower your blood pressure. The fosinopril relaxes your blood vessels, and the hydrochlorothiazide is a water pill that helps your body shed extra fluid and salt. Java Tea may nudge in the same direction, since it can act as a mild diuretic and may lower blood pressure a little on its own.
Stack those together and your pressure could dip lower than planned. Watch for dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, unusual tiredness, or feeling faint. Honestly, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on early animal and small human studies, so it's not a sure thing. Still, since you're already on two blood pressure agents, give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before adding it.

About Java Tea
What is Java Tea?
- Urinary tract health
- Mild fluid retention
- Kidney and bladder support
- Mild diuretic ('water pill') effect
- Digestive complaints
Java Tea is a Southeast Asian herb traditionally used as a gentle diuretic and for urinary tract and kidney support. Some early lab, animal, and small human studies are encouraging, but high-quality evidence in people is limited, so it should not replace proven treatments. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have kidney problems or take other medicines.
