Here's the gist with khella and chlorpheniramine: this isn't about how your body breaks the medicine down. Both of these can make your skin a little more sensitive to sunlight, so using them together might add up. The concern is a faster or worse sunburn, redness, or a rash on skin that gets sun, even on a day you'd normally tolerate fine.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern based on weak, anecdotal reports, not strong studies. For most folks it's mild, and antihistamines like chlorpheniramine aren't famous sun reactors. Still, if you take both, use sunscreen, cover up, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting khella.

Chlorpheniramine is used to temporarily relieve common allergy symptoms caused by hay fever (allergic rhinitis) or other upper respiratory allergies. These include runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.

These uses are supported across multiple products — including tablets (such as Aller-chlor, Allergy, Allergy Relief, Allergy Time, Anti Allergy, and Chlorpheniramine Maleate), extended-release tablets (Allergy Relief and Chlorphen-12), the oral solution Ed Chlorped Jr, and the inhalers ClorRelief and ClorRelief KIDs.
