Buproprion, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Lime interacts with.

Animal research shows that phenolics in lime juice inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4. This has been demonstrated in rats treated with sildenafil, a CYP3A4 substrate, and high doses of lime juice.

Auvelity is a combo of dextromethorphan and bupropion. Here, the bupropion piece is clever: it purposely slows down an enzyme so the dextromethorphan sticks around and works on your mood. The lime angle is different, though. Lab and animal studies hint that plant compounds in lime juice may gently block CYP3A4, one of the enzymes that helps clear these medicines. If that happened in people, levels could nudge upward, which might mean more dizziness, nausea, sleep trouble, jitteriness, or higher blood pressure.

Honestly, this evidence is weak and comes from rats given large lime doses, so a squeeze of lime on your food is very unlikely to matter. Before using concentrated lime products, just check with your pharmacist or doctor.
