Theoretically, guggul might reduce the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that guggul constituents known as guggulsterones can induce CYP3A4.

Auvelity combines two ingredients: dextromethorphan (which works on brain receptors to ease depression) and bupropion, which is added mainly to slow down how fast your body clears the dextromethorphan so it can do its job. Lab studies hint that guggul may speed up a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which helps process this medication. If that happens in real life, your body could clear the drug faster, and you might notice it working less well, meaning your depression symptoms could creep back.

I want to be honest with you: this is only a theoretical concern from test-tube research, not from people. Still, since depression treatment matters, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before adding guggul.
