Here's the gist for pazopanib (Votrient). It's a kidney cancer pill that relies partly on a cellular pump called P-glycoprotein to move it around your body. Methoxylated flavones from citrus peel (like nobiletin and tangeretin) can block that pump in lab tests. In theory, slowing the pump could let a bit more pazopanib stay in your bloodstream, which might nudge up its side effects, things like high blood pressure, diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, or liver enzyme changes.
I want to be honest though: this is based only on test-tube data, not real patients, so it's far from certain. Eating normal citrus won't do much, but concentrated supplements are a different story. Since pazopanib is a serious cancer drug, please run any supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist first.

Some drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 include clozapine (Clozaril), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), fluvoxamine (Luvox), haloperidol (Haldol), imipramine (Tofranil), mexiletine (Mexitil), olanzapine (Zyprexa), Pentazocine (Talwin), propranolol (Inderal), tacrine (Cognex), theophylline (Slo-bid, Theo-Dur, others), zileuton (Zyflo), Zolmitriptan (Zomig), and others.

Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break down pazopanib (Votrient). Certain methoxylated flavones, like nobiletin and tangeretin from citrus peel, may block that enzyme a bit in lab tests. If they slow it down in real life, pazopanib could clear more slowly and build up, which might mean stronger effects and more side effects, things like high blood pressure, diarrhea, fatigue, liver enzyme changes, or hair color changes.
I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's only seen in test-tube studies so far, not in people, and it doesn't happen with every flavone. Here's the connection worth knowing. In lab studies, methoxylated flavones (the citrus-peel compounds like nobiletin) seem to make platelets a little less sticky, which can mildly slow clotting. Pazopanib (Votrient) can already raise your bleeding risk on its own, so stacking these two could, in theory, add up and make bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums more likely.
I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's theoretical, based only on test-tube findings, not real patient cases, so it may not amount to much in everyday life. A bit of citrus in your food is very unlikely to matter; concentrated flavone supplements are the bigger question. What Is Pazopanib Used For?
Brand name: Votrient
Pazopanib tablets — sold as the brand Votrient and as generic pazopanib — are used to treat two types of advanced cancer in adults: advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most common form of kidney cancer, and advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have already received prior chemotherapy.
Important limitation: Pazopanib has not been shown to work in adipocytic soft tissue sarcoma (a subtype involving fat cells) or in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), so it is not used for those cancers.
