Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under PROTON PUMP INHIBITORS (PPIs) — the group Northern Prickly Ash interacts with.

Vimovo combines two medicines: esomeprazole, which lowers stomach acid, and naproxen, an anti-inflammatory for pain. The esomeprazole half is the part that matters here. There are old, anecdotal reports that Northern Prickly Ash may actually increase stomach acid. If that happens, it could work against esomeprazole and chip away at how well it controls acid.

In real life, you might notice more heartburn, an upset stomach, or burning that the medicine was supposed to settle. That's a bigger deal with Vimovo, since the esomeprazole is partly there to protect your stomach from naproxen. Keep in mind this is weak, theory-based evidence, not a proven problem. Please don't stop anything on your own, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
