Iodoquinol falls under ANTIFUNGALS — the group Probiotics interacts with.

Theoretically, taking antifungals with certain probiotics might decrease the effectiveness of probiotics.
Some probiotics such as Saccharomyces boulardii are fungi. Therefore, simultaneously taking antifungals might kill a significant number of these organisms.

Here's the gist of it: the concern isn't that probiotics change how iodoquinol works in your body. It's the other way around. Some probiotics, like Saccharomyces boulardii, are actually a type of yeast (a fungus). If you take a medicine with antifungal activity at the same time, it could kill off some of those friendly organisms before they get a chance to do their job. So the probiotic may just work less well.

Keep in mind this is theoretical, based on how these products work rather than strong studies, and it's rated minor. A simple fix is to separate your doses by a few hours, or pick a bacteria-based probiotic instead of a yeast one. Your pharmacist can help you choose, so check with them before changing anything.
