Iloprost falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Propolis interacts with.

Theoretically, propolis might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro research shows that propolis water extract and the propolis constituent, caffeic acid phenethyl ester, can inhibit platelet aggregation. Additionally, evidence from an animal model shows that taking propolis in addition to warfarin decreases INR, suggesting that propolis can decrease the effectiveness of warfarin.

Here's the thing to know about iloprost (Ventavis): besides relaxing your lung blood vessels, it also makes your platelets a little less sticky, which can slightly raise bleeding risk on its own. Propolis may do something similar. In lab studies, propolis and one of its compounds (CAPE) slowed platelets from clumping together. So in theory, pairing the two could add up and make bruising or bleeding a bit more likely.

I want to be honest: this is theoretical and based only on lab and animal work, not real patients, so don't panic. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums. Before adding a propolis supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Propolis is a natural, resin-like substance made by bees that has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties in lab studies.
