Quercetin + Benzphetamine
Benzphetamine brand name: Didrex.
Quercetin has a moderate interaction with Benzphetamine. Theoretically, concomitant use might increase the levels and adverse effects of CYP2C8 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 2C8 (CYP2C8) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Benzphetamine
Benzphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C8 (CYP2C8) SUBSTRATES — the group Quercetin interacts with.
In vitro research shows that quercetin inhibits CYP2C8. Inhibition of paclitaxel (Taxol) metabolism via CYP2C8 has been reported in vitro. However, a small study in humans found no effect of quercetin on rosiglitazone (Avandia), which is also a CYP2C8 substrate.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for benzphetamine (Didrex), a stimulant appetite suppressant. The concern is that quercetin can block an enzyme called CYP2C8 in lab dishes. If that same enzyme helps clear benzphetamine, then high-dose quercetin might let the drug build up a bit, which could mean stronger stimulant effects like a faster heart rate, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, higher blood pressure, or anxiety.
That said, I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. It's only test-tube data, and in real people quercetin didn't change levels of a similar CYP2C8 drug. Everyday food amounts of quercetin almost certainly don't matter; concentrated supplements are more of a question mark. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Benzphetamine page
“Benzphetamine (Didrex) is a stimulant appetite suppressant, and the supplements most likely to interfere with it are often the very products dieters reach for. Bulk-forming fibers like glucomannan can blunt its absorption from the gut, and activated charcoal, the single major-rated entry on this page, can meaningfully cut how much of t…”

About Quercetin
What is Quercetin?
- Seasonal allergies
- Antioxidant support
- Heart and blood pressure health
- Anti-inflammatory support
- Immune support
- Exercise recovery
Quercetin is a plant flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties found in many common foods and sold as a supplement. While early research is interesting for allergies, blood pressure, and inflammation, strong human evidence is limited for most uses. It is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking high-dose supplements.
