Glyburide, Metformin falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Rue interacts with.

Theoretically, rue might increase the risk for phototoxicity when used with photosensitizing drugs.
Rue contains photosensitizing furanocoumarins and psoralens and has been associated with multiple reports of phototoxic reactions. There is also one case report of an increased phototoxic response to psoralen and ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy associated with ingestion of rue.

Here's the thing to know about pairing rue with Glucovance (glyburide and metformin): this isn't about how your body breaks down the medicine or how well it controls your blood sugar. Instead, it's about your skin and the sun. Rue contains natural compounds called furanocoumarins and psoralens that can make your skin much more sensitive to sunlight. The glyburide part of your medicine can do the same thing in some people, so stacking them together could, in theory, raise your odds of a bad sunburn or a blistering rash with even moderate sun exposure.

I'll be honest, this concern comes from scattered case reports, not strong studies, so it's more of a 'be aware' than a 'panic' situation. If you ever try rue, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor, and play it safe with sunscreen and shade.
