Talwin Compound pairs aspirin with pentazocine, and it's the pentazocine part that matters here. Pentazocine is an opioid pain reliever, so it can already make you feel drowsy, foggy, or lightheaded on its own. Sceletium (kanna) appears to have some mild calming, sedative qualities of its own, based mostly on lab research rather than solid human studies.

The concern is simply that two calming things stacked together could add up, leaving you sleepier, dizzier, or less alert than you'd expect, especially when driving or standing up quickly. This is theoretical, not proven, so don't panic if you've taken them together. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
