ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride
Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Shilajit interacts with.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's a twist worth knowing about. Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is actually your emergency rescue medicine for very low blood sugar. It works by telling your liver to dump stored sugar into your blood to bring you back up fast. Shilajit, on the other hand, tends to lower blood sugar, so the concern flagged here is that shilajit and diabetes treatments together can push sugar too low in the first place.
So shilajit doesn't really fight against dasiglucagon directly. The bigger picture is that adding shilajit to your other diabetes medicines could make low blood sugar episodes (the very thing Zegalogue is for) more likely. Keep in mind this is based on early lab and animal research, so the effect in people is still uncertain. If you're considering shilajit, please check with your pharmacist or doctor and watch your glucose closely.

“Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is an emergency injection that rapidly raises blood sugar during a severe diabetic low, so a supplement list this large deserves genuine care. All 239 interacting ingredients act through blood glucose, and most of them lower it, deepening the very crashes this drug exists to reverse.”

About Shilajit
What is Shilajit?
- Fatigue and low energy
- Male fertility and testosterone support
- General vitality and aging
- Athletic performance
- Cognitive support
Shilajit is a sticky, tar-like substance found in rocks of mountain ranges like the Himalayas, used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for energy and vitality. Human evidence is limited and mostly small or early-stage, so its real benefits are uncertain. Quality and purity vary widely, and contamination with heavy metals is a real concern, so choose tested products and talk to your pharmacist before use.
