Taking shilajit with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here's the simple version: Liraglutide (Victoza) already works to bring your blood sugar down. Shilajit may also nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own. So when you stack the two together, the worry is that they could push your glucose down further than you intend, which can lead to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). With liraglutide, watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, a fast heartbeat, or feeling confused.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This concern comes mostly from lab and animal studies, not solid human trials, so it's a fairly soft signal. Still, it makes sense to check your blood sugar more often if you try shilajit, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it so they can guide any monitoring.

About Liraglutide Injection

What Is Liraglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Victoza

Saxenda is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management. It is approved for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 or higher if they also have at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or dyslipidemia (abnormal cholesterol or fat levels). It is also approved for adolescents aged 12 and older who weigh more than 60 kg and meet certain BMI thresholds for obesity.

Saxenda should not be used together with other liraglutide-containing products or any other GLP-1 receptor agonist. Its safety and effectiveness in combination with other prescription or over-the-counter weight-loss products have not been established.
