Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin (Human)
Insulin (Human) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Shilajit interacts with.
Most human and animal research shows that shilajit can decrease fasting plasma glucose levels. In an animal model, shilajit 100 mg per kg daily enhanced the glucose-lowering ability of both glibenclamide and metformin when given in combination over a 4 week period. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind: insulin already does the heavy lifting of pushing your blood sugar down. Shilajit, based mostly on lab and animal studies, seems to lower blood sugar a bit on its own too. So when you stack the two together, the worry is that your sugar could drop too low (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.
To be fair, the evidence here is early and not from solid human trials, so it may not be a big deal for many people. Still, if you decide to try shilajit, I'd check your blood sugars more often at first and loop in your doctor or pharmacist, since your insulin dose may need a small tweak. Never adjust insulin on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin (Human) page
“With human insulin (Novolin, Afrezza), extra glucose lowering is not a nuisance, it is the hazard itself, and this is one of the lists I treat as genuinely serious. Nearly every ingredient here either drops blood sugar on its own or adds to insulin's effect, and the combination can push a normal dose into hypoglycemia, a dangerous low.”

About Shilajit
What is Shilajit?
- Fatigue and low energy
- Male fertility and testosterone support
- General vitality and aging
- Athletic performance
- Cognitive support
Shilajit is a sticky, tar-like substance found in rocks of mountain ranges like the Himalayas, used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for energy and vitality. Human evidence is limited and mostly small or early-stage, so its real benefits are uncertain. Quality and purity vary widely, and contamination with heavy metals is a real concern, so choose tested products and talk to your pharmacist before use.
About Human Insulin Injection
What Is Human Insulin Injection Used For?
Brand names: Novolin N, Novolin 70/30, Novolin R, Novolin L, Afrezza
Novolin (human insulin injection) is used to improve glycemic control — meaning blood sugar management — in adults and children with diabetes mellitus.
Novolin 70/30 is a fixed-ratio mixture of intermediate-acting and short-acting human insulin. Because the ratio is fixed, it cannot be adjusted separately for background (basal) or mealtime (prandial) needs.
