Hay prepared from dried sweet vernal grass contains an anticoagulant, dicoumarol, which has been associated with fatal hemorrhages in animals. Theoretically, taking dried sweet vernal grass might cause additive effects and side effects with drugs having anticoagulant or antiplatelet properties.

Here's the short version: Cangrelor (Kengreal) is a fast-acting IV blood thinner that stops your platelets from clumping. It's given in the hospital, usually during a procedure to open a blocked heart artery. Sweet Vernal Grass, when it dries, can form a compound called dicoumarol, which has its own blood-thinning action. Stacking two things that both discourage clotting could, in theory, push you toward easier bruising and bleeding.

That said, this concern is theoretical and comes mostly from animal reports, not human studies. Since cangrelor is only used in a closely monitored hospital setting, your care team is already watching for bleeding. If you take Sweet Vernal Grass supplements, just mention it to your doctor or pharmacist so it's on record.
