Theoretically, tamarind fruit extract might increase the effects and side effects of ibuprofen.
Taking tamarind fruit extract as a component of millet porridge concurrently with ibuprofen seems to increase ibuprofen absorption and blood levels.

Vicoprofen is a combo pill, and the part we're focused on here is the ibuprofen. There's a small study showing that tamarind fruit extract (taken in a millet porridge) seemed to boost how much ibuprofen the body absorbed, raising its blood levels. In plain terms, more ibuprofen hangs around, which can mean stronger effects and more side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, ulcers or bleeding, and kidney strain. The hydrocodone side wasn't part of this interaction.

Keep in mind this is fairly preliminary, and a tamarind splash in your cooking is unlikely to be a problem. The concern is concentrated tamarind supplements taken regularly. If you use those, check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them with Vicoprofen.
