Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Lispro
Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tamarind interacts with.
Animal research suggests that an extract of tamarind seed can reduce fasting blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind: insulin lispro (Admelog) already does a powerful job of lowering your blood sugar. Lab and animal studies hint that concentrated tamarind seed extract might also nudge blood sugar down a little. If both are working in the same direction, they could add up, and that raises the chance of your sugar dropping too low (hypoglycemia). Watch for shakiness, sweating, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or sudden hunger.
I want to be honest about the evidence here. This is mostly theoretical and based on animal research, so it's far from certain. Eating tamarind as a normal food in cooking is very unlikely to cause trouble. The bigger question mark is concentrated supplements. If you want to try one, please check your blood sugar more closely at first and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Lispro page
“Blood sugar is the entire subject of this list. Insulin lispro (Admelog) is a rapid mealtime insulin dosed to bring glucose down after eating, and the supplements below can shove that same number around, most of them downward, which risks a genuine low.”

About Tamarind
What is Tamarind?

- Antioxidant support
- Traditional wound or skin care
Tamarind is a tangy tropical fruit widely used in cooking and traditional medicine, mainly for digestion and as a mild laxative.
