Fenfluamine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Theacrine interacts with.

Theoretically, theacrine might alter the effects of CNS depressants.
Animal research shows that low doses of theacrine have sedating effects, whereas high doses might have stimulant effects. Depending on the dose of theacrine used, it might increase or decrease the effects of CNS depressants. However, these effects have not yet been reported in humans.

Here's the honest picture: this one is mostly a theory, not something we've actually seen happen in people. Fenfluramine (Fintepla) works in the brain to calm seizure activity, and it falls into the broad group of medicines that affect the central nervous system. Theacrine is a caffeine-like stimulant, and animal studies are confusing here. Low doses seemed to calm things down, while higher doses acted like a stimulant. So depending on the amount, it could in theory either add to or work against fenfluramine's effects.

In plain terms, we can't predict the direction with confidence, and this hasn't been reported in humans. Because Fintepla is a seizure medicine where steady, reliable control really matters, I'd loop in your doctor or pharmacist before adding theacrine rather than guessing.

What Is Fenfluramine Used For?

Brand name: Fintepla

Fintepla (fenfluramine oral solution) is approved to treat seizures associated with Dravet syndrome (DS) and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) in patients 2 years of age and older. It is used alongside other antiseizure medications.

Both conditions are severe, often hard-to-control forms of epilepsy that typically begin in childhood. Fintepla is available only through a restricted program called the Fintepla REMS because of serious heart-related risks.
