When you take a product like methenamine with sodium acid phosphate near your thyroid hormone, the two can bump into each other in your stomach and the thyroid hormone may not absorb as well. That can leave your thyroid treatment working a little weaker over time, which might mean lingering tiredness, feeling cold, or sluggishness.

The good news is this is a minor, timing-based issue, not a dangerous one. The usual fix is simple separation: take your thyroid product on an empty stomach and keep other pills a few hours apart. Since over-the-counter thyroid extract is unpredictable anyway, please confirm the best schedule with your pharmacist or doctor.
