Here's the gist for this pair: glycopyrrolate is an anticholinergic, meaning it slows down a lot of your gut activity. Because it can slow how quickly things move through your digestive tract, it may change how well the thyroid hormone in your extract gets absorbed. The interaction on file is rated minor, so we're not talking about anything dangerous, just a possible dip in how reliably your thyroid hormone is taken up.

The simple fix is timing. Thyroid hormone absorbs best on an empty stomach, so taking it well apart from your glycopyrrolate (and from food, calcium, or iron) helps. With thyroid extract the dose is already unpredictable, so please let your doctor or pharmacist guide your thyroid treatment rather than self-adjusting.

What Is Glycopyrronium Topical Used For?

Brand names: Robinul, Robinul Forte, Glycopyrrolate Injection, Seebri, Lonhala Magnair Kit, Glyrx-Pf, Dartisla ODT

Qbrexza (glycopyrronium) cloth is used to treat primary axillary hyperhidrosis — a condition where the underarms sweat excessively without a clear medical cause. It is approved for adults and children as young as 9 years old.

Qbrexza is applied directly to the underarm skin and is not approved for sweating on other parts of the body.
