Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Prednisolone
Prednisolone falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Trichopus Zeylanicus interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the idea behind this pairing. Prednisolone is a corticosteroid that works partly by calming down your immune system, which is exactly why it helps with things like arthritis flares, asthma, allergic reactions, or protecting a transplanted organ. Trichopus zeylanicus, on the other hand, has shown immune-stimulating activity in animal and lab studies. So in theory, the herb could push your immune system in the opposite direction and blunt some of prednisolone's benefit.
I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical concern only, based on test-tube and animal work, not real human data. We don't know if it actually happens in people. Still, if you're relying on prednisolone to control a serious condition or guard a transplant, it's not worth gambling on. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding this herb, and don't change your steroid dose on your own.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Prednisolone page
“Prednisolone quiets inflammation and dampens the immune system, and its list of 202 interacting supplement and herbal ingredients, four of them rated major, deserves a careful read rather than a shrug. Grapefruit can push prednisolone levels up by blocking its breakdown, St.”
