Ertugliflozin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Vanadium interacts with.

Theoretically, vanadium might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
A few very small clinical studies in patients with type 2 diabetes show that the vanadyl sulfate form of vanadium increases insulin sensitivity and might lower blood glucose levels.

Here's the simple version: vanadium may act a little like insulin and help your cells soak up sugar, which can nudge your blood sugar lower on its own. Your ertugliflozin (Steglatro) already lowers blood sugar in a different way, by making your kidneys flush extra glucose out in your urine. Stack the two together and the worry is an additive drop in blood sugar (hypoglycemia).

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or unusually tired. Keep in mind this concern is mostly theoretical and based on a few very small studies, and the food amounts of vanadium are tiny. Concentrated supplements are a different story. Before adding any vanadium, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
