ASPIRIN

Acidification of the urine by vitamin C might increase aspirin levels.
It has been suggested that acidification of the urine by vitamin C could increase reabsorption of salicylates by the renal tubules, and increase plasma salicylate levels. However, short-term use of up to 6 grams daily of vitamin C does not seem to affect urinary pH or salicylate excretion, suggesting this interaction is not clinically significant.

Here's the idea behind this one: Aggrenox combines aspirin with dipyridamole, and the worry is about the aspirin half. In theory, large amounts of vitamin C could make your urine more acidic, which might cause your kidneys to hold onto aspirin (salicylate) instead of clearing it out. If that happened, aspirin levels could creep up a little, and you might notice more typical aspirin side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, or easier bruising.

In practice, this hardly seems to matter. Studies showed that even up to 6 grams of vitamin C a day didn't really change urine pH or how aspirin was cleared. So the everyday vitamin C you get from food or a normal supplement is very unlikely to cause a problem. If you take very high doses regularly, just give your pharmacist a heads-up.
