When used orally. Theoretically, the hormonal effects of vitex agnus-castus might adversely affect pregnancy or lactation. Animal research shows that taking vitex agnus-castus fruit extract when planning to become pregnant or during pregnancy may increase the risk of infertility, low fetal body weight, abortion, and stillbirth; avoid using.
