Here's the gist with chasteberry (Vitex) and acepromazine. Acepromazine is a phenothiazine tranquilizer that works mainly by blocking dopamine receptors. Vitex appears to do the opposite, nudging dopamine activity up. So in theory, the two could work against each other, and the calming or sedating effect of acepromazine might be weaker than expected.

I want to be upfront: this concern comes only from lab and animal research, not from real patient cases, so it's mostly theoretical. Also worth noting, acepromazine is most often used in pets (dogs, cats, horses) rather than people. If you or your veterinarian are pairing these, it's a quick conversation worth having with your pharmacist or vet before combining them.
