Here's the gist if you're taking estrogen (whether for hormone replacement therapy or another reason) and thinking about chasteberry. Vitex works on your body's own hormone signals, partly by nudging dopamine and lowering prolactin. Because of that hormone-shifting activity, there's a theoretical concern that it could push against what your estrogen is trying to do, making your therapy work less predictably.

I'll be honest with you though: this caution comes from lab and animal research, not from real-world studies in people, so the actual risk is uncertain. Still, if your estrogen isn't doing its job well, you might notice things like returning hot flashes, night sweats, or irregular bleeding. Before adding Vitex, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so they can weigh it for your situation.
