Here's the gist: chasteberry (Vitex) nudges your reproductive hormones by acting on the brain's pituitary gland, and it can shift things like prolactin. Because esterified estrogens (Menest, Estratab) work by adding estrogen activity to your body, an herb that tinkers with hormone signaling could, in theory, work against it. That might mean your menopause relief, like control of hot flashes or vaginal dryness, doesn't hold up as well.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this concern comes from lab and animal studies, not solid human trials, so it's more of a theoretical worry than a proven problem. Still, since you're taking estrogen for a real reason, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Vitex rather than starting it on your own.
