Here's the idea behind this pairing. Pericyazine is an antipsychotic that works by blocking dopamine in the brain. Vitex (chasteberry) seems to do the opposite, nudging dopamine activity up a bit. On paper, those two pull in opposite directions, so the worry is that vitex could slightly blunt how well your pericyazine controls symptoms like agitation, anxiety, or disturbed thinking.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is theoretical, based on lab and animal work, not real patient cases, so it's far from a sure thing. Still, since pericyazine is treating something important, I wouldn't add vitex on your own. Please run it by your doctor or pharmacist first so they can keep an eye on how you're doing.
