Telmisartan, Amlodipine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group White Horehound interacts with.

Evidence from animal research suggests that taking white horehound extract lowers blood pressure. Theoretically, taking white horehound with antihypertensive drugs might enhance therapeutic effects and increase the risk of hypotension. Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Twynsta combines two blood pressure medicines: telmisartan (an ARB) and amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker). Both work to relax your blood vessels and bring pressure down. There's some early animal research hinting that white horehound may also nudge blood pressure lower. So in theory, pairing the two could add up and push your readings too low.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or shaky, especially when standing up quickly. That said, this is only a theoretical concern based on lab and animal data, not real human cases, and an occasional horehound cough drop is very unlikely to do much. Concentrated supplement doses would be the bigger question mark. If you want to use it regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
