Secobarbital Sodium falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Yin Chen interacts with.

Theoretically, yin chen might enhance the therapeutic and adverse effects of other CNS depressants.
Animal research shows that yin chen has sedative effects and can reduce motor activity and impair balance and coordination. When used in combination with pentobarbital, yin chen increases sleeping time when compared to pentobarbital alone.

Here's the short version: Seconal (secobarbital) is already a strong brain-slowing medicine that makes you drowsy and helps you fall asleep. Yin Chen, in animal studies, also seems to have a calming, sedating effect. When the two are combined, the worry is that Yin Chen could add to secobarbital's punch, leaving you more groggy than expected.

In real terms, that might mean deeper or longer sleepiness, feeling foggy or off-balance the next day, slowed breathing, or trouble with coordination. I want to be honest, though: this is based on lab and animal research, not human studies, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven one. Still, since both calm the nervous system, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.
