Theoretically, yin chen might enhance the therapeutic and adverse effects of other CNS depressants.
Animal research shows that yin chen has sedative effects and can reduce motor activity and impair balance and coordination. When used in combination with pentobarbital, yin chen increases sleeping time when compared to pentobarbital alone.

Here's the short version: Suvorexant (Belsomra) is already a sleep medicine that calms brain activity to help you nod off. Yin Chen, in animal studies, seemed to have its own sedative, drowsy-making effect, slowing movement and throwing off balance and coordination. Stack the two together and you could, in theory, feel extra groggy, more drowsy the next morning, dizzy, or unsteady on your feet, which raises the risk of a stumble or fall.

I'll be honest with you, though: this concern comes only from lab and animal research, not human studies, so it's more a caution than a proven problem. Still, since both can make you sleepy, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them rather than stopping or changing anything on your own.
