Taken with triflupromazine (Vesprin), an older phenothiazine antipsychotic, its atropine-like alkaloids pile onto side effects the drug already produces (dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, sedation), and it is one of just four major-rated entries, alongside scopolia, Indian snakeroot, and Rauvolfia vomitoria. I read this as a list to treat carefully rather than casually, starting with those four. Additive anticholinergic activity runs through thirty of the 74 flagged ingredients, making it by far the dominant pattern.
Twenty more entries, chlorophyll and bergamot oil among them, can heighten the sun sensitivity phenothiazines already cause, so burns and rashes become more likely. Lithium supplements are a different problem; the two may lower each other's levels.
