All Zyme Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking All Zyme against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of All Zyme by Wholly Liquid
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
All Zyme contains 9 active ingredients — all digestive enzymes. Papain (from papaya) and bromelain (from pineapple) break down proteins; lactase breaks down milk sugar; lipase breaks down fats; and protease does additional protein breakdown.
The product also contains cellulase, amylase, maltase, and invertase, which break down other carbohydrates. The capsule itself contains microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, and water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The evidence on file for most of these enzymes is not established. Lactase is rated effective for lactose intolerance — the one condition in this product with a solid effectiveness rating.
For papain, bromelain, lipase, and protease, the data shows insufficient reliable evidence for the six to ten different conditions listed (including cancer, exercise-induced muscle soreness, and digestive upset), meaning we don't have enough solid research to say whether they work.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Papain is generally tolerated as a food but may irritate the digestive tract and cause allergic reactions in sensitive people, especially at high oral doses — rare cases of severe stomach inflammation and esophageal perforation have been reported. Bromelain is well tolerated short-term and causes mild side effects like diarrhea, headache, and stomach upset in some users.
Lactase and lipase are generally well tolerated. Protease is generally well tolerated but may cause digestive upset or allergic reactions.
All of these enzymes can trigger respiratory allergies in people exposed to airborne dust occupationally. For pregnancy: papain is rated possibly unsafe and should be avoided; bromelain should be avoided due to insufficient safety data; lactase is likely safe; lipase and protease have insufficient data — discuss with your doctor before use.
For breastfeeding: papain has insufficient data (best avoided); bromelain should be avoided; lactase is likely safe; lipase and protease have insufficient data — ask your healthcare provider first.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking All Zyme, double-check if you're on warfarin or other blood thinners (Moderate risk from papain); anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin or clopidogrel (Moderate risk from bromelain); or tetracycline antibiotics like doxycycline (Minor risk from bromelain). If you take any of these, run them through the interaction checker below.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
All Zyme is a multi-enzyme digestive supplement with a solid evidence base only for lactose intolerance. The biggest concern is if you're on a blood thinner like warfarin or on antiplatelet drugs — both papain and bromelain carry documented interaction risks.
If you take tetracycline antibiotics, bromelain may affect absorption. Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on blood-thinning medication.

All Zyme by Wholly Liquid Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
All Zyme by Wholly Liquid contains several enzymes, and two of them have documented interactions with medications.
Papain may increase the effects and side effects of warfarin (a blood thinner), with one case report showing a patient's blood-thinning level rise to unsafe heights after taking a papain-containing supplement.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Bromelain carries a Moderate interaction risk with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs — blood thinners and drugs that prevent clotting — because it may have its own blood-thinning properties and could raise bleeding risk. Bromelain also has a Minor interaction with tetracycline antibiotics; lab work suggests it might increase how much of the antibiotic your body absorbs, though a human study found no difference in blood levels.
Lactase, lipase, and protease show no documented interactions in our data. We could not check cellulase, amylase, maltase, or invertase because we hold no interaction data for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 141 individual medications. Please use the checker below to search your specific prescriptions before you start.

For each ingredient in All Zyme with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Bromelain
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Bromelain may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
There is one case report of a patient experiencing minor bruising while taking bromelain with naproxen. Bromelain is thought to have antiplatelet activity. Whether this interaction is of concern with topical bromelain is unclear. Interference with coagulation of burn wounds has been reported in a patient receiving bromelain-based enzymatic debridement. However, observational research has found that topical bromelain debridement is not associated with increases or decreases in laboratory markers of coagulation when compared with surgical debridement.
Tetracycline Antibiotics
Theoretically, bromelain might increase levels of tetracycline antibiotics.
Laboratory research suggests that bromelain might increase the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics. However, a study in healthy adults reported no difference in tetracycline plasma levels when a 500 mg dose was taken with or without bromelain 80 mg.
Papain
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, papain might increase the effects and side effects of warfarin.
In one case report, a patient previously stable on warfarin was found to have an international normalization ratio (INR) of 7.4, which was attributed to ingestion of a supplement containing papain from papaya extract.
