Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Aroma Resins Alcohol Free contains 5 active ingredients: Frankincense Resin Extract, Myrrh Gum Resin Extract, Guggul Gum Resin Extract, Copal Oro Resin Extract, and Dragon Blood Resin Extract — all delivered as dry extracts in a proprietary blend. The product is formulated with glycerin and water as inactive ingredients, so there are no added fillers or binders.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these resin extracts is thin. Frankincense has been studied for acne, aging skin, back pain, and cancer-related fatigue, but the data isn't strong enough to rate whether it works.
Myrrh shows insufficient evidence for back pain, cancer, colds, and other uses; it's considered likely ineffective for schistosomiasis. Guggul appears possibly ineffective for weight loss and has insufficient evidence for acne, hemorrhoids, and high cholesterol.
Dragon Blood has no effectiveness ratings in our data. The product's overall benefit for any specific condition isn't established by the facts we hold.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Frankincense and myrrh applied topically or inhaled are generally well tolerated short-term, though quality varies between products. Topically, both can cause skin irritation, dermatitis, itching, or rarely allergic reactions.
Myrrh taken by mouth may cause diarrhea at higher doses. Guggul is generally well tolerated orally but often causes mild digestive upset—belching, bloating, nausea, diarrhea—and skin reactions (rash, itching, swelling); risk increases with higher doses.
Allergic skin reactions are possible. Dragon Blood has limited human safety data.
Frankincense and myrrh should be avoided during pregnancy; myrrh is traditionally said to stimulate the uterus. Neither frankincense nor myrrh has enough safety information for breastfeeding, and guggul should be avoided while nursing.
Copal Oro and Dragon Blood safety in pregnancy and lactation is not on file.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, double-check with your pharmacist if you're on warfarin or another blood thinner, diabetes medications, blood pressure or heart medications (especially propranolol or diltiazem), birth control pills, estrogen therapy, thyroid hormone replacement, tamoxifen, or any drug processed by your liver. Myrrh may decrease warfarin effectiveness and raise low blood sugar risk; guggul may reduce effectiveness of several heart and blood pressure drugs, interfere with hormonal contraceptives and estrogen, increase bleeding risk, and alter how many medications are broken down.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

Aroma Resins Alcohol Free by Herbal Terra Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Aroma Resins Alcohol Free by Herbal Terra contains several plant resin extracts that do carry documented interactions with medications.
The most serious concern is with Myrrh Gum Resin Extract, which may theoretically decrease the effectiveness of warfarin (a blood thinner used to prevent clots). Myrrh may also raise the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if you're taking diabetes medications.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Guggul Gum Resin Extract has the broadest interaction profile. It may reduce how well certain blood pressure and heart medications work, including propranolol and diltiazem.
Guggul may also interfere with birth control pills, estrogen therapy, and blood thinners by raising bleeding risk. It could affect how your liver processes a large category of drugs (CYP3A4 substrates), and theoretically may interfere with thyroid hormone treatment and tamoxifen (a cancer medication).
Frankincense Resin Extract and Dragon Blood Resin Extract have no interactions documented in our data. We could not check Copal Oro Resin Extract, as we hold no data for it.
Altogether, these interactions span 826 individual medications. Before you start this product, run your exact prescriptions through the medication checker on this page.
