GlucoFit contains one active ingredient: GlucoHelp, which is derived from banaba. Banaba is a plant extract traditionally used in herbal medicine for blood sugar support.
The softgel capsule also contains several inactive ingredients — rice bran oil, gelatin, glycerin, purified water, carob extract, silicon dioxide, yellow beeswax, and zinc oxide — that serve as the capsule shell and help deliver the ingredient.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for banaba in GlucoFit is not yet established. We have insufficient reliable evidence to rate its effectiveness for diabetes, prediabetes (impaired glucose tolerance), or metabolic syndrome.
While traditional use and some lab research suggest it may affect blood sugar, human clinical trials haven't yet confirmed whether it actually works for these conditions in real patients.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Banaba extract is generally well tolerated in short-term studies, but we don't have solid data on long-term safety, so caution is warranted if you're thinking of using this long-term. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy and while nursing — there simply isn't enough reliable information to know it's safe in those situations.
In trials involving a combination product with banaba and another herb, some people reported dizziness, headache, tremor, weakness, stomach upset, sweating, heart palpitations, and shakiness, though it's unclear whether banaba alone caused these or if the other herb was responsible.

In vitro research shows that banaba inhibits OATP, particularly OATP2B1. OATPs are expressed in the small intestine and liver and are responsible for the absorption of drugs and other compounds.
