This product contains one active ingredient: glutamine, an amino acid your body uses for immune function, gut health, and muscle recovery after stress or illness. The remaining ingredients — pH-Sorb buffering technology, taurine, silica, Resolver, acesulfame-K, and sucralose — are inactive excipients (fillers and flavorings that stabilize and sweeten the powder).

Glutamine is rated Effective for sickle cell disease. It's rated Possibly Effective for HIV/AIDS-related wasting, postoperative recovery, and critical illness from trauma.
The evidence supporting those uses exists but isn't as robust as the sickle cell data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Glutamine is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth. The most common side effects in studies were belching, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, headache, and gastrointestinal pain — most mild and dose-dependent.
High doses (10–30 grams daily) used in clinical trials for sickle cell disease produced more GI upset. Dizziness and headache have been reported, and there are two cases of mania or hypomania in people with bipolar disorder taking up to 4 grams daily, though glutamine is not established as a cause.
If you have kidney or liver disease, use only under a doctor's supervision. The safety data in pregnancy is limited but rated Likely Safe; however, there isn't enough reliable safety information during breastfeeding, so check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking a supplement dose while nursing.
