Immune Support Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Immune Support against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Immune Support by Theramedix BioSET
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Immune Support contains six active ingredients. Two forms of nattokinase (an enzyme derived from fermented soy) make up the primary active components, alongside a Proprietary Enzyme Blend and Protease Blend for additional enzyme support.
You'll also find Superoxide Dismutase, an enzyme with antioxidant properties, and Trace Mineral Powder to round out the formula. The capsule itself is made from delayed-release vegetable material, designed to release the contents in your lower digestive tract.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence we hold for nattokinase—the main active ingredient in this product—doesn't establish it as reliably effective for any specific condition. The data rates it as having insufficient reliable evidence for angina, atherosclerosis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
We don't have effectiveness ratings for the other ingredients in this formula, so we can't comment on what they may or may not do.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Nattokinase is generally well tolerated short-term, but because it thins the blood, it's something to be cautious about if you have bleeding issues or are at risk for them. Rare reports exist of serious bleeding, including brain bleeding, especially when nattokinase is combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs.
Some people can also have hypersensitivity reactions to nattokinase or related compounds in fermented soy products—symptoms like throat swelling can occur within two hours of taking it. The safety data advises against nattokinase in pregnancy and while breastfeeding because there isn't enough information to know it's safe.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check this product against blood thinners and antiplatelet medications (such as warfarin, apixaban, clopidogrel, or aspirin) before you start—nattokinase may increase bleeding risk. Also review any blood pressure medications you're on, since nattokinase may lower blood pressure further.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, or blood pressure medications, check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting this product—nattokinase may not be compatible with your regimen. The evidence for what this product actually does is thin.
Talk to us before you use it, especially if you have a bleeding disorder or are pregnant or nursing.

Immune Support by Theramedix BioSET Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Immune Support by Theramedix BioSET contains nattokinase (listed twice in the formula), which does interact with certain medications.
The main concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs—nattokinase has blood-thinning effects of its own, and combining it with medications like warfarin, clopidogrel, or aspirin raises the risk of bleeding. There's a documented case of brain bleeding in someone who took nattokinase alongside low-dose aspirin.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Nattokinase may also lower blood pressure, so if you're on medications to control high blood pressure, there's a theoretical risk of your blood pressure dropping too far when you add this product.
We couldn't check several other ingredients in this formula: Superoxide Dismutase, Trace Mineral Powder, Protease Blend, and Serratiopeptidase—we simply don't hold interaction data for them. That's not a green light; it means we can't comment one way or the other.

Nattokinase
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Nattokinase might increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
Nattokinase has thrombolytic and anticoagulant effects. There is a case report of intracranial hemorrhage in a patient who added nattokinase to aspirin therapy.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, nattokinase might increase the risk of hypotension when used with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research suggests that nattokinase may reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Protease Blend
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, papain might increase the effects and side effects of warfarin.
In one case report, a patient previously stable on warfarin was found to have an international normalization ratio (INR) of 7.4, which was attributed to ingestion of a supplement containing papain from papaya extract.
